Libex offers a unique opportunity for clients to participate in the art and craft of American whiskey through our premium whiskey barrel program. Specializing in custom blends, we provide clients the chance to own and profit from aging whiskey barrels.

Led by an in-house master distiller and a team of industry experts, we meticulously select and create blends that capture the essence of fine whiskey. Our expertise and strategic location in Wyoming, an ideal environment for aging barrels, ensure that your assets are poised for success. Wyoming's climate contributes to the optimal aging process, enhancing the whiskey's quality and value over time.

By providing aged whiskey directly to the craft distilleries market, we create a niche opportunity for clients that stands out in the rapidly growing whiskey industry. Our barrels offer both a tangible asset and a connection to the rich tradition of whiskey making. Clients can enjoy the satisfaction of contributing to this craft while potentially reaping significant financial rewards.

Join us in savoring the journey from barrel to bottle and enjoy the potential financial rewards along the way. With Libex, you are not just purchasing whiskey; you are joining a legacy of quality, tradition, and expertise.

Product of American Whiskey History

In the late 1800s, a program was instituted whereby aging whiskey barrels became collateralized assets. These barrels were stored in federally bonded warehouses, enabling banks and investors to lend against their appreciating value. When prohibition commenced, banks found themselves holding vast sums of suddenly illegal assets. To mitigate this, the federal government legalized whiskey contracts, preserving the integrity of the federal warehouses. Consequently, banks could transfer these “whiskey bonds” to third-party investors to maintain financial stability, despite the underlying asset’s illegal status. Following the repeal of prohibition, the fortunate few holding these contracts found themselves in possession of the largest stockpile of aged whiskey in the United States, a boon amidst the economic turmoil of the Great Depression.

Differentiating Capabilities

As one member of a family of companies that collectively are involved in every aspect of the spirits industry, Libex is able to provide unparalleled industry insight and expertise as well as exit capabilities to its wide array of clientele. Collectively, this allows you, our clients, to enjoy the benefits of our economies of scale, which means not only a wider variety of choices and broader range of options at every stage of the process but ultimately more value derived by our clients through better pricing at both purchase and sale.

Unlike the bulk-aged spirits brokers commonly seen in the space, Libex is an aged-spirits marketplace for both wholesale and retail enthusiasts alike.

  • “When I was first introduced to the idea of purchasing a whiskey cask I thought, “worst comes to worst, I can always drink it,” but, well, that never happened. After a couple years went by, one of the fellas called me to see if I’d sell my barrels for double so I did and received the cash in my account in a couple of days. After that, I put my original investment back into more newly made barrels and used the rest to buy a boat along with a high-end bottle to christen it. Couldn’t be happier.”

  • “The team is amazing. When I was first being introduced to the idea, it seemed overwhelming and foreign to me. But man was it easy. Easy to buy, easy to sell, and easy to drink. Profits aside, I’d recommend them to anyone.”

    — Parker, 62, Retired, Atlanta, Georgia

  • “I love that they [LIBEX] are truly committed to making more than just premium whiskey and profits. They’re commitment to their clients, their community, and their country really shows through and it speaks volumes about their character. They make me proud to be a Member and an American.”

  • “I have worked in finance for nearly 35 years–25 years working for others and 10 years now managing my own family office–and while I don’t encourage or discourage investing into whiskey, I will recommend the LIBEX team over their competitors and alternatives. Easy, straight-forward fee structure. Transparent and honest team. Solid fundamentals. They’re what you want.”

    — Steve, Director of Family Office, Manhattan, NY

  • “Aside from the unreal level of customer service, their team is the real deal. Not only are the leaders of the organization truly professionals and experts in their field, they’ll stop at nothing to make sure you’re getting everything you expected, wanted, hoped for, and more.”
